Purifying Facade Modules

Collaboration with: Inbar Machlouf and Alex Saitova

Tutors: Arch. Guy Arbel, Arch. Itay Cohen

Year:2016

The architectural facade is innovatively designed with modular units, each containing a variety of plants that contribute to the building’s aesthetic appeal while promoting sustainability. These green modules are strategically integrated to create a living wall that purifies grey water through natural processes. As grey water flows through the system, it is filtered and cleansed by the plants, which absorb pollutants and release clean water. This facade not only enhances the visual beauty of the building but also serves a practical purpose, embodying an eco-friendly approach to urban design by reducing water waste and improving environmental quality.
